The TeleTrex Community System built on Liferay
A scalable, high-performance, robust community website system designed for users and administrators alike. This system powers the community systems at TuneInNow Networks, Jubal Online Games, and Women.com Networks, among others.
This software was born out of a need for a lights-out, no-engineer-required system that could be completely run by hosts and admins with only a web browser. Changes to boards, subjects, content could be done on the fly. The application never needs rebooting, the server never needs rebooting to change templates and content. This system was designed by engineers that did not want to waste valuable development time maintaining the system and by community managers that did not want to chase down engineers to implement changes on the system. This system is the only one we know of that allows multiple hosts to perform admin duties simultaneously, such as reconfigure boards and categories, delete offensive user accounts and their spam messages, get reports on traffic and usage, without impacting the user experience. We've buried other brand-name systems. We built this system expecting to register millions of members and serve millions of page views weekly.
This system is proven with months of constant and continuous high-speed response with no downtime. It has been in some installations for a year with no plans of being replaced. Platforms supported are Linux and Solaris.
